Momentive RTV116 tek bileşenli, kullanıma hazır yapışkan mastikler son derece çok yönlüdür. Oda sıcaklığında atmosferik neme maruz kaldıklarında sert, dayanıklı, esnek bir silikon kauçuğa kürlenirler. Asetik asit buharları, kürlenmenin yan ürünü olarak dolgu yüzeyinden salınır. RTV116 dolgu macunu, kendiliğinden yayılan bir dolgu macunudur.

RTV116 mastikler, standart mukavemetli yüksek sıcaklık mastikleridir. Tüm bu sızdırmazlık malzemeleri nemle kürleme sistemi kullandığından, 6 mm'den (1/4 inç) daha kalın kalınlıklarda kullanılmamalıdır. Kesit derinliği 6 mm'yi (1/4 inç) aştığında, GE Silicones tek bileşenli, ilave kürleme veya iki bileşenli silikon kauçuk bileşikleri önerilir.
